There's a lot of things happening this winter season including the introduction of new leather jackets and leather glove styles. Where there was a lot of demand in the 1960's and the 1970's for haute leather fashion, it's now come back round in a way that was never anticipated before. We are seeing more and more garments being worn whether that be some expensive faux brand or whether it be real girls leather jackets or gloves. You would be charged about the same amount and it's worth knowing which brand is the best for your fashion needs. I have been in the leather industry for around 10 years, i rarely buy new items at all because i like to get second hand or thrifted leather that way i don't put any pressure onto my conscience. We all have to earn a living somehow but i never buy new unless it can't be helped such as for hygiene reasons when working with other models such as for the leather gloves when they have to go near the mouth or on the lips. Because trains are dirty and people use those leather gloves on handles and other things as they go about the day to day life. I feel less of a burden because most is used for meat, if leather ended today then i would feel happy too, i mean there could be other ways to address fashion. I just know there's a lot of people who wear it for practical reasons like being allergic to other fabrics.
Usually when i book a model, i ask first if they have their own leather gloves and girls leather jacket because it's not only a purchase thing, it's also because their style is all unique to them and it is great to have a lot of diversity in the fashion world. Sometimes though when the model does get back to you and says that they have their own leather clothes, it's now most of the time that the leather is faux. So what do we do? Well it's easy to spot a faux leather because they'll be non uniform in the way that they shine, sometimes too shiny in dark conditions whereas real leather has a softer light reflection in shaded areas and then in more bright areas they'll become like a wet sort of shiny and faux leather will look a big more dull. You are also able to make out the machine patterns on the faux leather compared to the real ones especially if you actually get up close and have a deeper look, they are getting clever at disguising it now.
